Collection: Paul Toogood

Paul Toogood’s love of drawing and painting goes back as far as he can remember putting pen to paper. At age 15 he won second prize in a national painting competition run by the Daily Telegraph and Ford Motor Company to celebrate their victory at the London to Mexico World Cup rally with the now world famous Ford Escort.

Always fascinated by the complexity and precision of motor engineering he was in awe of the beautifully drawn, cut away, illustrations of formula one engines and bodies.

With plenty of time on his hands during the Covid crisis his long suffering wife suggested he get back into his artwork, which until then had remained just a hobby.

One thing led to another and here we are today.

So whatever or whoever the love of your life is he can reproduce it in pencil or pen an ink.

Among others, he has had the honour of producing works for:

  • Richard Hammond Pic
  • Robert Escalante – President of the Packard International Motors Club based in Santa Ana California.
  • Chubb, the official insurance partner of the prestigious Concours of Elegance held at Hampton Court this Sept 1-3 2023 commissioned Paul to produce four works of selected clients cars.

He appeared at the event where you could see him in action over the course of the three day event.

He has also been accepted into the Guild of Motoring Artists.
