Numbers arriving here very much depend on availability of berries and fruit in Scandinavia.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhen food is scarce, they can arrive here in large numbers, which is called an irruption and they can be spotted further and further south in the UK, as they seek new sources of food.
